How to Vote in the 2018 Municipal Elections for the Township of Douro-Dummer, Township of Selwyn, Municipality of Trent Lakes & Township of North Kawartha

voteVoting Day for the 2018 Municipal Elections is coming up on Monday, October 22nd!

The Township of Douro-Dummer, Township of Selwyn, Municipality of Trent Lakes, and Township of North Kawartha have all opted to use electronic voting this year. Electronic voting allows electors to vote 24/7 starting October 9th until October 22nd. Voting closes at 8pm on October 22nd.

Electronic voting can be done from any device with an Internet connection (computer, cell phone, iPad, laptop) or with a touch-tone telephone, so it is a convenient way to vote!

If you are using electronic voting for the first time and are not sure how, watch this video.

You qualify to vote if:

  • You are at least 18 years old on Election Day, October 22, 2018,
  • You are a Canadian Citizen,
  • You or your spouse lives, rents or owns property in the municipality, and
  • You are not otherwise prohibited by law from voting.

Township of Douro-Dummer

There are no paper ballots for Douro-Dummer this year. Voting opened October 9th and closes October 22nd at 8pm.

You should have received a Voter Information Letter with a Personal Identification Number (PIN). If you have not received this letter, call 705-652-8392.

Township of Selwyn

There are no paper ballots for Selwyn Township this year. Electronic voting stations are available at the Selwyn Township office (1310 Centre Line) for public use. Voting opened October 9th and closes October 22nd at 8pm.

Eligible voters should have received a personalized voting instruction package with details on how to vote online or by phone. If you have not received your package, please call 705-292-9507.

Municipality of Trent Lakes 

trentlakesThere are no paper ballots for the Municipality of Trent Lakes this year. Voting opened October 9th and closes October 22nd at 8pm.

Trent Lakes Municipal Office (760 County Road 36) has set up a Help Centre with telephone and internet access for electors who do not have access to the necessary connections. If you need assistance with electronic voting, please call 705-738-3800 ext 240.

If you have not received your Voter PIN Letter, please call 705-738-3800.

Township of North Kawartha

northkawarthaThere will be no paper ballots for the Township of North Kawartha this year. Voting opened October 9th and closes October 22nd at 8pm.

The North Kawartha Township Office (280 Burleigh Street) has set up a Voter Help Centre with internet and telephone access for electors who do not have access to these connections.  Also, both branches of the North Kawartha Library offer public internet.

If you have not received your Voter Information Letter, contact the Township office at 705-656-5189.
