Where can I find public boat launch locations (paddle craft, smaller and larger motorized boats)?

Public boat launches can be found on Buckhorn Lake at (476 Six Foot Bay Rd) & (80 Kawartha Hideaway Loop).
Visit Ode’ Naang Park (1922 Lakehurst Rd) for smaller paddle craft and unpowered craft launch.

Where can I find public docking locations?

Docking is permitted at Lock Station 31.
There are some docks located at public launches in the Municipality but long term/overnight docking is not permitted.

Where are Buckhorn’s public swimming locations?

For public swimming in Buckhorn visit Ode’ Naang Park (1922 Lakehurst Rd).

Where can I find public fishing locations?

The Municipality does not have any sanctioned and maintained public fishing locations. However, there are locations where fishing may occur on public lands. For more information regarding fishing locations and regulations, contact the Ministry of Natural Resources at 1-800-667-1940.

Where are some bait, tackle rental and fishing license providers in Buckhorn?

While you can’t purchase a fishing license in Buckhorn, one can be purchased in nearby Trail Towns – Bobcaygeon and Lakefield.

Where are Buckhorn’s public washroom locations?

There is a washroom open at the Lock 31 building.

Where is the Visitor Centre location (and what are their hours of operation)?

The Buckhorn Welcome Centre (1993A Lakehurst Rd) is open during the summer, 7 days a week 10 am – 5 pm.

Where can I find bike, canoe, or kayak rack locations?

The Municipality has one kayak rack located at Ode’Naang Park 1922 Lakehurst Rd, Buckhorn ON, K0L 1J0.

Where can I find water bottle fill-up locations?

Due to COVID-19 there are currently no public water bottle stations.*
