Where can I find public boat launch locations (paddle craft, smaller and larger motorized boats)?

You can find a public boat launch beside Toth Marine (43 Water Street).

Where can I find public docking locations?

Public docking can be found at the following locations:

  • Lakefield Marina (1 Water Street). *
  • Lock Station 26 – lower and upper reach

*Currently only open to seasonal boaters due to COVID-19

Where are Lakefield’s public swimming locations?

Public swimming is open at Lakefield Beach (64 Hague Boulevard).

Where can I find public fishing locations?

Fishing is allowed on all docks, wharfs, launches and along the waterfront. There are no restrictions on Township property for fishing when in season.

Where are some bait, tackle rental and fishing license providers in Lakefield?

You can purchase bait/tackle at Gerry’s Bait and Tackle (3347 Lakefield Rd) or buy worms at Ultramar Gas Station (3343 Lakefield Road).
Kawartha Home Hardware (24 Queen Street) is an authorized fishing license issuer.

Where can I purchase ice in the area?

You can purchase ice at any of the following locations in Lakefield:

  • Lakefield Convenience (57 Bridge Street)
  • Lakefield Foodland (1 Queen Street)
  • Lakefield Marina (1 Water Street)
  • Mister Convenience (151 Queen Street)
  • Ultramar Gas Station (3343 Lakefield Road)

Where can I find bike rentals, paddle craft and boat rental locations?

Kayak and paddleboard rentals are available at Toth Marine (43 Water Street).
There is a bike share located at Lakefield Marina (1 Water Street). *

Where are Lakefield’s public washroom locations?

Public washroom can be found at the following Lakefield locations: *

  • Kawartha Chamber of Commerce & Tourism (12 Queen Street)
  • Lakefield Beach (64 Hague Boulevard)
  • Lakefield-Smith Community Centre (20 Concession Street)

*Note: Washrooms are cleaned twice daily, 7 days a week as per the Peterborough Public Health regulations.

Where is the Visitor Centre location?

Lakefield’s Visitor Centre is located at the Kawartha Chamber of Commerce & Tourism office (12 Queen Street). *
*Currently closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. Information can be obtained by emailing info@kawarthachamber.ca

Where can I find bike, canoe, or kayak racks?

There are currently no canoe or kayak racks.

You can find water bottle fill-up locations at:

  • Lakefield Campground Office (59 Hague Boulevard)
  • Lakefield-Smith Community Centre (20 Concession Street)
  • Lakefield Pantry (44 Queen Street)
  • Stuff’d (18 Bridge Street)
  • Sunblockers (23 Queen Street)
